This is the hello, world post

I’ve spent a lot of time in front of screens.

Computers were always just around when I was growing up. In many ways, it was a fluke. We weren’t a family with money to spend on computers and tech. But I went to a school with a fine computer lab, back before that was normal. I’ve always felt I just got lucky; right place, right time.

Today, I sit in front of screens professionally, coding away as half of a development and design boutique that my wife and I have been running since 2013.

I’ve built a lot of websites for folks, going back to (checks notes) the mid-90s. Yet I’ve never, ever maintained a personal website.

What a wasted opportunity!

I have some regerts. Especially watching as some of the folks I have read online since those early, Wild West days of the web, post their 25th anniversary announcements.

Better late than never? The timing seems good, in any case.
